The Story of Yesterday

Memories of Dreams

Yesterday is a story of dreams and remembrance. The orbits of Earth around the sun inexorably mark the years in all our lives. The more orbits we complete, the more we review to measure the paths of our lives. Heath Herring’s image says it all and I am grateful he gave me permission to use it as the basis for my painting, “Yesterday…Memories of Yesterday”.

Heath states he “is a commercial photographer who creates story-driven photo and video content specific to brand development, advertisement and editorial publication. He believes identity, authenticity and honesty are key to creating meaningful work. Which is exactly why I’ve never liked the idea of writing my own “about” section from a third person perspective. I much prefer setting formality aside, engaging in clear communication and getting straight to the point.”

The Southwest is one of my favorite parts of this great country. Wide open and dramatic in all its moods, the people reflect its many aspects. Passionate sunsets and sunrises reveal dramatic landscapes torn from the earth by some ancient master artist. The photographer or artist who ventures there finds many stories to tell. Check out the stories told by Heath Herring.
