About The Artist

Barbara Johnson

Barbara Johnson is a retired Engineer with decades of support to our Country under her belt. Most importantly she is a Watercolorist. Fascinated by the beauty and magic of renowned Watercolorists such as Jim Kosvanec, Georgia O’Keefe, Angus McEwan, and Thomas Moran, Barbara began studying art in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1990 under Daniel Wang, Hawaii’s State Watercolor Artist. Barbara’s displayed her art on the fence in Kapiolani Park, the largest and second oldest public park in Honolulu, Hawaii, and sold her art to local Hawaiians and tourists.

Additionally, Barbara entered her art in fierce competition with demanding entry requirements of juried Art Shows with sometimes thousands of other artist competitors and judged by a group of highly skilled, professional, Artist peers. For a while, Barbara put her talent on hold to raise her grandchildren. But true talent is lasting. Barbara continues to study locally under Water Color artist Such as Tom and Bonnie Jones, Art League of Daytona Beach. Barbara describes her passion best as “Chasing paper, light, and color… life is for living, loving, and painting”.

Barbra reserves the right to refuse a request for the replication of original designs of other artists works regardless of format. Framing is the responsibility of the purchaser.
